a few other projects
To get a better feel for some of the variety of work I’ve done, here are snippets of a few other projects I’ve worked on in the past. While I won’t go deep into the process for these, hopefully it’ll help give insight to the other types of projects I’ve worked on.
I’ll be adding a few other project overviews soon.

ebay.com checkout redesign (2015)
Role: Lead designer for site and mweb
Date: 2015 (redesign), 2016 (feature enhancements)
I redesigned the checkout for eBay.com for a simpler and more streamlined experience for site and mobile web. This included designing for 100+ use cases, including:
Payment method selection
Adding, editing, changing of PayPal, PayPal Credit, credit card.Address selection
Adding, editing, changingReview order
Several combinations of number of items and number of sellersShipping method selection
Including Buy-Online-Pickup-In-Store (BOPIS) settings, Click and Collect (PUDO), eBay Plus, local pickup, and standard shippingGift cards, eBay Bucks (loyalty earning program), and coupons
Adding a donation
Hundreds of error cases
Problem: In the old checkout, buyers seemed to have very little options in how to pay. The emphasis was on PayPal, and in most cases you had to have a PayPal account. You technically could pay with a credit card if it was attached to your PayPal account, but this was not readily obvious.
Goal: Allow the user to be able to seamlessly and easily checkout using the payment method of their choosing.
To meet our goal, we made 3 major changes:
Streamlined the PayPal process so you never had to leave eBay
Previously, the seller would review their order on eBay, say they are paying with PayPal, and then be sent to PayPal to finish their order. On the new checkout, the seller can choose PayPal, log in, and select which method they want to use in their PayPal wallet all while on eBay.
Gave users multiple payment options
This included being able to checkout without a PayPal account. To keep the page as simplistic as possible, we only showed the need to know information is shown up front. Each module can expands and contracts to expose deeper selection.
Gave checkout a facelift
We also wanted the checkout to look more modern, so we updated the look and feel to align with the current design system at the time, while also adding modern interactions.

EBAY.COM COLLECTIONS REDESIGN
Role: Lead designer
Date: 2014
The Collections team set out to redesign the layout to give it an updated and more editorial look and feel. It was later featured in the national eBay brand campaign.
Collections are a feature on eBay that allows regular users (and professionals) to curate items they find on the site in groups and categories in a visual way. While some users use this as a wishlist or just things they like, other's utilize this as a story telling and editorial platform. Our main goal for the redesign was to create a layout that flexed to fit both of these needs.
